FORMAT & COVID-19

Leadership is a unique event. Through open and courageous conversation, civil society leaders are able to tap into thought leadership and think through collective challenges. We know that coming together in person is a special part of this process.

In running this event in 2022, we are balancing many factors. We know many leaders will be in Canberra shortly after the event to meet with the government post-election, and we want this event to be accessible for people who cannot attend in person, for health or other reasons. We understand that it’s a difficult time to gather in-person, and are working to run the event as safely as possible under the circumstances.

Leadership will as a hybrid event, with two modes of participation: the majority of participants will gather in-person at Old Parliament House in Canberra, with an alternative online participation stream incorporated into the event through livestream and concurrent facilitated discussion.

OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS

If you need to change from in-person to remote attendance, the following conditions will apply:

Up to 14 days in advance, we will offer a partial refund for the difference between in-person and virtual tickets.

Less than 14 days in advance, you will be able to change mode if you are unable to attend due to testing positive to COVID-19, being required to isolate, or displaying symptoms of COVID-19 on the day of the event but we will be unable to offer a refund of the difference in ticketing as final numbers will be confirmed with the venue.

Vaccination Requirements: If you are attending Leadership in-person, you must be triple vaccinated (i.e. booster or third dose as required), or have a valid medical exemption to COVID-19 vaccination. While this isn't a state requirement in all locations, we feel that as event organisers, it's important that we work to make our events as safe as possible for immunocompromised or at-risk members of our community.

Mask Requirements: Leadership 2022 will follow ACT state requirements around mask use at the time it takes place. In the event that masks are not required, we encourage participants to wear masks where possible / when not eating or drinking.

Ticket Exchanges: While Leadership 2022 is by invitation only, in the event that you are unable to attend due to testing positive to COVID-19, being required to isolate, or displaying symptoms of COVID-19 on the day of the event, we will assist in organising ticket exchanges, or you can switch to online participation.
